Saturday Night Live just singlehandedly ruined Donald Trump’s trip to Asia with its hilarious skit last night. Addressing the recent developments in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and how the Trump team is scrambling in a pathetic attempt to save themselves, Alec Baldwin returned to do his epic impersonation of Trump — and Trump is NOT going to like it!
In the brutal skit, Baldwin’s Trump visits his former campaign CEO, Paul Manafort, who has recently been indicted and is on house arrest. Trump approaches Manafort (played by cast member Alex Moffat) with his Secret Service agents and says, “Hey, Paul, I just came by to check on you.”
Manafort replies, “Oh, of course. I’m embarrassed, I only wore a $10,000 casual suit.”
As Trump comments about Manafort’s “fantastic” rugs, Manafort says, “I got a great deal. I paid a million bucks cash.”
Trump responds, “Dude, you are so screwed.” Trump then pulls Manafort into the shower to make sure he isn’t “wearing a wire.” Once in the shower, they are joined by Vice President Mike Pence and Sec. of State Jeff Sessions (played by Beck Bennett and Kate McKinnon). When Sessions pops up wearing a striped bathing suit in the shower, Sessions replies:
“I thought we should all get used to wearing stripes.”
As always, the skit was epic and perfectly pokes fun at an administration that is going under with every passing day. Trump’s entire team is in big trouble, and he knows it. Trump won’t take kindly to SNL (or Baldwin, whom he hates!) pointing out his scandals for the world to see. Trump might be in Asia right now, but we can all bet that his mind is on SNL and that he is going to have an insane meltdown at some point today.
