Earlier today, Donald Trump disappointed all of his constituents when he reminded them that even though he’s the President of the United States, his alliance and bond with Russian president Vladimir Putin will always come first.
Recently, Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he actually believes Putin over the evidence gathered and accepted across the U.S. intelligence community. Trump stated that he believes Putin’s word over U.S. intel, and says he thinks Putin “means it” when the Russian leader denies meddling in the 2016 election.
Trump’s exact words were:
He said he didn’t meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times. But I just asked him again, and he said he absolutely did not meddle in our election.”
And of course, then he tried to change the subject, showing just how weak of a leader he is:
Well, look, I can’t stand there and argue with him. I’d rather have him get out of Syria, to be honest with you.”
These statements have only further verified the fact that Trump an incompetent leader, but he is clearly siding with a country that poses a major threat to America. In response, CIA Director Mike Pompeo has a message for Trump, and it speaks volumes.
In direct opposition to what Trump has stated about believing that Russia is innocent just because its leader says so, the CIA continues to stand firm on its Russia intel assessment. As reported by Jake Tapper:
The Director stands by and has always stood by the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment entitled: Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent U.S. Elections. The intelligence assessment with regard to Russian election meddling has not changed.”
Further, CNN reported that the CIA “refused to comment directly on the president’s remarks.”
Thank goodness someone has pointed out that Trump is acting in direct opposition to America and refuses to stand with his country.
