Malia Obama wore a t-shirt that said “Smoking Kills” on the front of it. Almost immediately, conservatives were outraged at her choosing to wear it without asking their permission or approval beforehand. It is a big strange how conservatives consider themselves the de facto authority on what women in America are and are not allowed to wear. It makes them sound positively Sharia-like, doesn’t it?
Images of the shirt are below:
Conservatives were using the excuse that Malia was seen taking a .03 second-long puff of what was alleged to be a marijuana joint at Lollapalooza earlier this summer as a reason to cyberbully the 18-year-old daughter of our president. They just can’t seem to leave her alone. I know that her dad is some big black scary ninja werewolf, but are they THAT cowardly that instead of attacking him they want to go pick on his daughter?
Some of the stupidity is shown below:
You see, it doesn’t matter if Malia may have chosen to make a statement and try to set a “better example” for other young people — even though she’s already a great role model — because she sinned once in the past and according to Republicans, that means she’s never allowed to have an opinion again.
It doesn’t seem to matter that Republicans are THE party when it comes to members getting caught in same-sex extra-martial affairs while taking secret bribes from Russia as they snort 50 pounds of cocaine off the back of a 10,000 dollar hooker while making racist statements. These are all things we aren’t allowed to talk about, because Republicans will just declare they “prayed” about it so it all fine.
Meanwhile, in spite of their history of doing every bad thing imaginable, they engage in the hypocrisy of declaring Malia can’t do something positive, even if it was inspired by a negative. I don’t remember any Republican outrage about Bristol Palin going for a 3rd time’s the charm approach to abstinence-only education, or attacking Trump for being a serial adulterer while he preaches family values.
Let’s be honest. If she never was seen maybe smoking a possible joint they would still have a problem with her, because they hate that her dad is guilty of presidenting while black. I hope next time a Republican gets caught in an embarrassing and/or illegal situation, they engage him with the same moral outrage.
