Trump’s allies have no problem inventing massacres and terrorist attacks as they push their terrible agenda, but how about campaign rallies?
When Donald Trump Jr. and a whole mess of campaign officials met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer on June 9 of last year on the promise that he would be receiving damaging information about Hillary Clinton as “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump,” former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski says that The Donald wasn’t even in New York.
“I wasn’t invited to the meeting, I wasn’t even made aware of the meeting,” Lewandowski told MSNBC’s Chuck Todd on “MTP Daily.” “What I do remember on that particular day is that was a day that Donald Trump was doing a rally in the state of Florida.”
Lewandowski says that he even traveled with Trump to that rally — a statement that begs the question of exactly how “high” Lewandowski was either on that day or during his interview.
In reality, Trump didn’t have a rally in Florida that day. In fact, he was caught on video leaving an event at the Four Seasons in New York City at 1:07 P.M. and headed back to Trump Tower from there. CNN notes that he “remained at Trump Tower for the rest of the afternoon.” It is unclear if he was at the meeting (or if he sent his imaginary friend “Jim” in his stead) — Trump officials deny it — but his office is one floor above his son’s, where Jr., Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner were colluding with the Russians (including a former Soviet spy).
Trump was not in Florida until June 11:

The meeting, of course, took place in Trump Tower at 4 P.M. Just after the meeting, which reportedly lasted about a half hour, ended, Trump tweeted about Hillary Clinton’s emails for the first time:

Days later, Wikileaks’ Julian Assange announced that leaks were on the way and on June 15, Russian-connected hacker Guccifer 2.0 published stolen DNC files.
