While spending some time on set with his latest pal, Bill O’Reilly, Donald Trump offered some sage advice on how he would have handled the middle east after 9/11. While speaking of Trump’s massive failure of a foreign policy speech, O’Reilly reminded him, “you never mentioned Afghanistan. What would you do about that?”
Trump’s answer will blow your mind. We all sat back and had good hearty belly laughs when Sarah Palin would screw up some historical truth or when she couldn’t cite a single case heard before the Supreme Court besides Roe v Wade, but this was just ignorance:
I’d stay in Afghanistan. It’s probably the one place we should have gone in the Middle East because it’s adjacent and right next to Pakistan, which has nuclear weapons. So I think you have to stay and do the best you can. Not that it’s ever gonna be great but I don’t think we have much of a choice. That’s one place, frankly, instead of going to Iraq, we should have probably gone there first.
He’d go back in time and invade Afghanistan before Iraq because Pakistan has nuclear weapons. First off, you’re probably having a good chuckle at the fact that we invaded Iraq nearly two years after Afghanistan. Second, what do Pakistani nuclear weapons have to do with the hunt for Al Qaeda, Bin Laden and the reason we were there? We monitor nuclear weapons from satellites; we don’t invade sovereign nations to set up watch posts. Here’s the interview with O’Reilly:
You’ll note that O’Reilly didn’t bother to point out what a buffoon Trump is; he instead lets the Cheeto Man run rampant over foreign policy and recreate reality to suit his narrative.
