During an interview with Fox Business on Tuesday, Donald Trump crushed the dreams of every Republican who’s been hoping the nominee would suddenly start acting presidential. The Donald was asked if he planned on toning down his rhetoric now that his eye is on the general election, but according to Trump that isn’t gonna happen because he’s “winning”:
I think that you know my temperament has gotten me here. I’ve always had a good temperament and it’s gotten me here. I certainly don’t think it is appropriate to start changing all of a sudden when you have been winning.
First, let’s all laugh at how funny it is that Donald Trump thinks his temperament is what won the primary for him and not his racism combined with a super racist Republican base. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…okay, now that we’ve gotten that out of our systems, let’s talk about the other elephant in the room: the polls that clearly show he is not winning.
According to Nate Silver’s (who is widely known as the “poll-whisperer”) latest election forecast, Donald Trump has only a 12 percent chance of winning the General Election in November. TWELVE percent.
Nate Silver’s poll isn’t the only one showing Trump losing to Hillary Clinton. None of the reliable polls have Trump beating Clinton, including Fox News which has her up 10 points. In fact, the billionaire is getting his ass kicked so soundly that he has now started claiming that the election is already “rigged” against him and his fellow Republicans are saying that the polls are “skewed.”
Meanwhile, the GOP establishment is quietly rocking themselves back and forth praying that the election comes to a quick end so that they can quietly go home and lick their wounds. Now that Trump has let them know in no uncertain terms that he has no plans on ever changing the way he speaks, there is no hope left for the party and they know it.
