A little over a year into Donald Trump’s presidency, it’s clear to see that the biggest danger America (and the world) is facing is the bottomless ego of the president.
Trump’s ego has nearly caused America to be thrust into nuclear war numerous times, and is also draining the economy as he regularly vacations and plays golf on taxpayers’ dime. Now, Trump wants to have a grand military parade in Washington, D.C. — yet another major bill that taxpayers will have to foot.
Trump has been heavily criticized for this senseless parade — both Democrats and Republicans have opposed him on this. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) accurately described the parade as a “fantastic waste of money to amuse the president.” Freedom Caucus member Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) publicly trashed the idea, telling CNN’s John Berman that he doesn’t like “spending money.”
While Trump has regularly shrugged off the comments of lawmakers (even when they’re Republican), he has always sided with Fox News and its hosts. Take one look at Trump’s Twitter account, and it’s easy to see that Trump is a regular viewer and lives by the advice and propaganda the conservative network spews. So while he may be able to ignore what everyone else is saying about his useless parade, he won’t be able to shrug off that Fox News also trashed it.
Earlier today, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade openly voiced his opinion on Trump’s parade and straight-up called it “a waste of money” — even after his co-host had just said the parade was a great opportunity to “show off all of the equipment.” You can watch Kilmeade break rank below, which will likely set off Trump’s next big meltdown:
