During the Democratic National Convention (DNC) Thursday night, a grief-stricken father of a heroic Muslim-American marine killed in Iraq took aim at Donald Trump. The GOP presidential nominee isn’t so presidential and people took notice when Donald attacked the Khan family afterward. This wasn’t the first time Donald, who received multiple draft deferments, attacked those who bravely served in the military. Just ask John McCain about that one.
Donald can’t handle criticism.
I was viciously attacked by Mr. Khan at the Democratic Convention. Am I not allowed to respond? Hillary voted for the Iraq war, not me!

Actually, Mr. Liar Pants did support the Iraq war.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) quickly distanced himself from Donald’s latest temper tantrum. McConnell released a statement praising the Khan family while blasting Trump’s proposed Muslim ban.

House Speaker Paul Ryan praised the Khan family as well.
ABC News reports:
Neither McConnell nor Ryan mention Trump by name in their statements, but the repudiation of the GOP nominee is implicit in both responses.
“All Americans should value the patriotic service of the patriots who volunteer to selflessly defend us in the armed services. And as I have long made clear, I agree with the Khans and families across the country that a travel ban on all members of a religion is simply contrary to American values,” McConnell wrote.
Ryan said, “America’s greatness is built on the principles of liberty and preserved by the men and women who wear the uniform to defend it. As I have said on numerous occasions, a religious test for entering our country is not reflective of these fundamental values.” “I reject it,” he continued.
“Many Muslim Americans have served valiantly in our military, and made the ultimate sacrifice,” Ryan said. “Captain Khan was one such brave example. His sacrifice — and that of Khizr and Ghazala Khan — should always be honored. Period,” he added.
In May, McConnell said, “I have committed to supporting the nominee chosen by Republican voters, and Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee, is now on the verge of clinching the nomination.” He’s all yours, Mitch.
In June, Ryan said he’s voting for Trump. He’s yours, too, Paul. Donald is the monster the GOP created and they don’t know how to tame it, so they’re in a hole and just continue digging. Both Ryan and McConnell endorsed Donald, albeit, with a heavy dose of skepticism. They knew he was going to f*ck up and yet, they endorsed him.
One of Donald’s biggest cheerleaders, Ann Coulter, also attacked Khizr Khan. The Coultergeist was vicious, too, but Twitter users took issue with her attack on a fallen soldier’s family. Even Conservatives were disgusted. Oh my gosh, Donald is Ann Coulter with a wig. And yet, we’re not seeing enough Conservatives call out Donald for disparaging the Khans.
