Donald Trump’s comments about groping women were enough to finally cause Senator Kelly Ayotte to withdraw her support from his campaign.
As we have all heard by now, the Republican nominee said some incredibly disgusting things about women during a conversation caught on tape in 1995.
“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them,” Trump said. “It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p*ssy.”
This is from the man whom New Hampshire GOP Senator Kelly Ayotte said is a good role model for her kids during a debate on Monday.
“I think that certainly there are many role models that we have and I believe he can serve as president, and so absolutely I would do that,” she said when asked if she would tell her children to be like Trump.
Ayotte then tried to wriggle her way out of her obvious gaffe by saying that Trump nor Clinton are good role models.
“I misspoke tonight,” Ayotte wrote on Twitter. “While I would hope all of our children would aspire to be president, neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton have set a good example and I wouldn’t hold up either of them as role models for my kids.”
But Ayotte still supported Trump as her party’s nominee for president. And her remark about Trump being a good role model came back to really bite her on the ass on Friday when the bombshell audio dropped.
Now she is finally dumping Trump, but is again trying to have it both ways by including Hillary Clinton in her condemnation.
I wanted to be able to support my party’s nominee, chosen by the people because I feel strongly that we need a change in direction for our country,” Ayotte wrote in a statement on Twitter. However, I’m a mom and an American first, and I cannot and will not support a candidate for president who brags about degrading and assaulting women. I will not be voting for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton and instead will be writing in Governer Pence on Election Day.

In other words, Ayotte has gone from supporting a man who gropes vaginas to supporting a man who wants to legislate them. Sounds like Ayotte isn’t a good role model for her kids either.
