Being President Obama’s daughter must be tough. This isn’t sarcasm. At 19 years of age, Malia Obama has to deal with people practically stalking her. She can’t so much as enjoy a concert without everyone in the f*cking world scrutinizing her every move or bugging her for a photo. That sort of life is something her father chose for himself when he entered politics, but Malia? She just wants to be left alone so she can go to school — and unfortunately, since everyone in the universe knows she’s at Harvard, that means that people can find her.
On Saturday, a woman ran up to Malia as she was on her way to grab a bite to eat and demanded that she take a photo with her for her granddaughter. According to witnesses, she politely declined. The woman could have taken “no” for an answer, but “nevertheless she persisted.”
The grandmother creepily waited outside the establishment like a stalker, waiting for Malia to leave. The woman didn’t even let Malia get out the door before she began filming. A clearly annoyed Obama glared at the woman and said:
Are you gonna take it in my face like an animal in a cage?”
Malia Obama did not ask to be “famous,” and the sense of entitlement within the woman who refused to take “no” for an answer is utterly astounding.
