Maybe you’re sick of polls, too, but this one is different. According to FiveThirtyEight, Public Policy Polling has called 82 percent of races correctly and has a slight Republican bias.
The newest poll’s findings show that 18 percent of voters believe Democratic nominee for president Hillary Clinton has “ties to Lucifer.”
It’s almost as if there’s something wrong with conservatives. During last month’s Republican National Convention, Ben Carson suggested that Hillary Clinton is in league with the devil. We don’t know how he knows this, but apparently, he has a red telephone which dials Lucifer in the Pits of Hell so that he can tell Carson who his BFF is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Or maybe, conservatives got this idea from Donald Trump, who on Monday called Hillary Clinton “the devil” as he rallied supporters in Pennsylvania. “She’s the devil,” Donald told the crowd. Yeah, that’s totally not weird at all.
Which brings us back to the poll, which concludes that another 21 percent of 1,276 likely voters were “not sure” if Hillary is in cahoots with the devil.
Public Policy Polling reports:
By a 66/22 margin they say Clinton is a bigger threat to the United States than Russia.
And 33% think Clinton even has ties to Lucifer, to 36% who say they don’t think so, and 31% who are unsure either way.
“Against that set of findings it’s simply not very likely that many Trump voters will be moving into the Clinton column,” the PPP reports.
However, Donald Trump didn’t fare well in the poll either.
Sixty-two percent of likely voters say they believe he should release his tax returns and 58 percent have an “unfavorable opinion of the Republican Party.”
Recently, Trump’s bromance with Vladimir Putin has been taken to task. As it happens, not that many people have a favorable opinion of Putin.
Only seven percent hold a favorable opinion of the Russian president; 52 percent said they had an unfavorable view of Russia. We’re not sure who the seven percent of those surveyed are exactly or which bar they were polled in. Still yet, 43 percent think Trump can be trusted with national security. It’s important to note here that Trump’s ties to Russia are being questioned lately. Trump’s own adviser Paul Manafort had business dealings with prominent Ukrainian and Russian tycoons. It’s also been suggested that Trump’s campaign may have had something to do with Russia hacking the Democratic National Committee’s emails.
74% of Trump supporters think Hillary should be in prison even though she hasn’t been found guilty of any crimes. We’re going to go out on a limb here and suggest that conservatives are just a tad bit unfair to Hillary.
