Donald Trump’s approval rating continues to dwindle — which is no surprise, but the latest polls are showing an alarming trend that is going to pretty much obliterate all hope for Trump’s future.
Thanks to a new poll from AP-NORC, it is now known that the majority — a whopping 57 percent — of Americans believe that Trump is a racist. This comes shortly after Trump told reporters that he was the “least racist person you have ever interviewed” — and it was clearly a claim that no one believed.
The data shows that the majority of the country also believes that Trump’s policies have unfairly targeted Muslims and Latinos, and 47 percent of Americans believe that Trump’s policies are bad for African Americans.
As Trump continues to ask for donations and boasts about his re-election campaign, this poll will certainly deliver a devastating blow to his chances in 2020 (if he doesn’t get impeached by then). Trump can’t hide his true character from Americans, and all of his attempts to hide it have clearly failed. Trump and his fanbase (which is also falling apart) have earned a reputation for being racist and America is now pushing back.
Trump likes to brag about how he’s great at marketing himself, but clearly, he has failed to get America to buy his lies. Comments like calling Nazis “very fine people” or rejecting people from “sh*thole countries,” or building a border wall and enforcing a Muslim travel ban certainly haven’t been very convincing when it comes to making Trump look innocent.
We all know what Trump is made of — and it’s all ideas that threaten what America stands for. No one wants Trump or his disgraceful ideas to divide the country and promote white supremacy. Trump needs a major reality check if he thinks anyone will vote for him in 2020.
