Donald Trump does a lot of stupid stuff. Shocking, I know. The particular kind of stupid, though, is really a cut above the garden variety. Out of all his available options for someone to help teach him about foreign policy he picked (oh my God why?) Michele Bachmann.
Yes, the Minnesotan mental case who we spent years laughing at while she was a member of Congress is advising Trump on foreign policy because nobody understands the world the way she does.
Michele went on to talk about the grave threat that Minnesota is under from “radical Islam” and that unlike everyone else, Trump understands that same threat exists around the world as well. She drew a comparison between Trump and “our President Obama,” as she put it, saying she wished Obama also understood radical Islam and took it seriously.
Wait a minute. Isn’t Obama a radical Islamic terrorist, or at least cooperating with them? She only spent her entire career as a Congressional waste of space accusing Obama of being a Muslim who is in league with terrorists. Now she says he doesn’t know a thing about them. Which is it, Michele?
Bachmann is already on Trump’s
anti-LGBT Evangelical advisory board. Apparently, she’s done so well in her role there that she’s gotten a promotion to a position not only dangerous to America but the rest of the world as well.
Among the vast collection of stupidity that composes 100 percent of her congressional career, she had a few truly wonderful foreign policy gems.
She’s going to be telling Trump whether or not he should use the U.S. military to wage war around the world, as well as advise him on how to handle dealing with our allies. Just let that all sink in for a moment.
