Working for Donald Trump is certainly enough to drive anyone to insanity and as his disastrous presidency continues on, America is witnessing the unraveling of his entire administration.
Earlier today, Kellyanne Conway ruined an interview on CNN by having a meltdown about Hillary Clinton, and it seems like that’s going to be theme for the day from Trump’s minions. After that interview aired, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also had her own tantrum about Clinton during a press briefing, and it was truly a bizarre moment for everyone in attendance.
During the press briefing, Huckabee Sanders pretty much denied all allegations that Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign had colluded with Russia — and actually tried to deflect the blame and pin it on the Democratic Party. Huckabee Sanders, clearly desperate to take the heat off Trump, said that the only “collusion” that happened during the 2016 election was between the DNC and Clinton!
This happened when Fox News’ John Roberts asked Huckabee Sanders if the Trump administration considered the Russia investigation a waste of resources. Huckabee Sanders said:
I think the president has been pretty clear what his position is. Congress has spent a great deal of time on this — a better part of a year. All of your news organizations have actually probably spent a lot of money on this as well, which we would probably consider a pretty big waste.”
And then she delivered this insanity to stunned reporters:
I think that our position hasn’t changed since day one, and I think we are seeing now that if there was any collusion with Russia, it was between the DNC and the Clintons, and certainly not our campaign.”
Once again, Trump and his minions have proven that they can only defend themselves by blaming others who have nothing to do with their wrongdoings. You can watch Huckabee Sanders stumble through this press briefing below:
