No — this is not a joke. Donald Trump is seriously considering Sarah Palin to head up one of the most demanding and most important offices in U.S. government. ABC reports:

A source told NBC News that after Palin showed interest in running the department, Trump and his transition team reached out to her and it is now a very real possibility that she will be chosen for the job.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has faced some serious backlash over the years for being one of the government’s most inefficient and unorganized departments. One which Donald Trump promised over and over during his campaign to make one of his top priorities as president. He said his goal was to restructure the VA so that our veterans and their families are taken care of. So why Sarah Palin, you ask? I’ll tell you why — Donald Trump does not give two shits about the American people, and especially not our veterans.
Palin served as the Governor of Alaska from 2006-2009 and was John McCain’s VP pick and running mate in 2008 during his bid for the presidency, but she has no real experience working extensively with America’s veterans and has absolutely no business running this department or ANY department, for that matter.
As expected, the internet exploded after the news broke.
