Karma finally came calling for Fox News co-founder, serial sexual harasser, and terrible human being, Roger Ailes.
Ailes was many things — a serial sexual harasser, an advisor to the worst leader any country has seen in recent years, pure evil.
“I am profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning,” Ailes’ wife, Elizabeth, said in a statement. “Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many. He was also a patriot, profoundly grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise—and to give back. During a career that stretched over more than five decades, his work in entertainment, in politics, and in news affected the lives of many millions. And so even as we mourn his death, we celebrate his life…”
It’s impolite to celebrate a person’s death, but fortunately, one thing Ailes could never be accused of being is a person. Naturally, most folks disagree with Mrs. Ailes on every single point:
RIP Roger Ailes. You can sexually harass the angels now :'(

Roger Ailes behaved egregiously toward women in his organization and changed our culture for the worse, making people dumber and angrier.

I feel no sorrow for this. I do pity his family.

It's like God was trying to make up for taking Chris Cornell so he took Roger Ailes to balance things out.

Roger Ailes died last night too. Here's to hoping this begins the death of classic right wing, boys club conservatism too.

Roger Ailes was a disgusting and hateful human being. Anything said more positive than that is just sugar trying to make shit taste good.

Mama told me if I can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything, so I'll say this about Roger Ailes: he was presumably a person pic.twitter.com/u09Gia9wHM

Roger Ailes is dead. I will shed no tears. He created Fox News, a Parasite on the American Political System. Hell is a meaner place today.

While obviously, we should respect that his family probably misses him — those who don’t hate him with every fiber of their being for tarnishing their name anyway — the truth is that Roger Ailes should not be mourned any more than Antonin Scalia or Osama bin Laden.
The world is a better place without him.
