The National Rifle Association (NRA) went dark after the Las Vegas massacre. But now that the issue of outlawing ‘bump stocks’ has gained momentum, even with some Republicans, the gun industry weighed in. Bump fire stocks allow semi-automatic weapons to fire more rapidly, a device the shooter in Las Vegas used when he murdered 59 people and injured nearly 600 others. By the way, the NRA spent more than $21 million to help get Donald Trump elected.
All of the Republicans that the NRA owns have found themselves in quite a predicament trying to defend against reasonable gun control laws even though there’s a mass shooting almost every single day in the U.S.
The bump stocks issue, though, displays America’s exhaustion from our gun-saturated society. So the NRA said in a statement that it backs the government looking into the legality of bump fire stocks. But they stopped short of calling for legislation on the device that basically transforms a semi-automatic into an automatic weapon.
Instead, the NRA urged lawmakers to pass “National Right-to-Carry reciprocity” which it says would allow people to defend themselves.
The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would allow gun owners to travel state-to-state with concealed weapons even when traveling to states with laws restricting concealed weapons.
Yes, imagine the entire crowd of concertgoers firing up at the 32nd floor of the hotel in Las Vegas while bullets crash into the windows of various rooms which the shooter is not in. That’s the ticket! The NRA wants the public to know that somehow you can stop an automatic weapon firing 400 rounds per minute with a handgun.
The spokesperson continued: “Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law.”
The NRA is blaming President Barack Obama and the gun-humping organization is calling for more guns. What a surprise.
“In the aftermath of the evil and senseless attack in Las Vegas, the American people are looking for answers as to how future tragedies can be prevented,” the statement added. “Unfortunately, the first response from some politicians has been to call for more gun control. Banning guns from law-abiding Americans based on the criminal act of a madman will do nothing to prevent future attacks. This is a fact that has been proven time and again in countries across the world.”
The NRA can’t possibly imagine why anyone would bring up gun control after witnessing so many Americans being slaughtered on U.S. soil.

The NRA spent $12 million attacking Hillary Clinton during the campaign, and zero investigating why mass shooters are so often members of their organization.
