Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway just performed an epic fail on The View.
Throughout her appearance, Conway was mercilessly grilled by the panelists about everything from Trump’s attack on Hillary’s health to his refusal to release his tax returns to a new bombshell report detailing Trump’s illegal attempt to undermine the embargo against Cuba.
“Where are his damn tax returns?” Whoopi Goldberg demanded. “What is Donald Trump hiding by not releasing that information? I want to know since every other president has had to do it, where are the tax returns?”
Indeed, presidential candidates have been releasing their tax returns for decades now but Trump is the only one who is refusing to release his, citing an IRS audit as the reason why.
When Conway attempted to repeat the excuse, Goldberg immediately called bullshit, which caused Conway to fall back on yet another Trump excuse that Americans don’t really care about his tax returns.
In fact, polls consistently show that a majority of Americans DO want to see Trump’s tax returns.
Clearly, Donald Trump is hiding something or many somethings that he doesn’t want the American public to see because it would damage his campaign beyond repair.
And Goldberg wants to know what.
“What is he hiding?” she asked Conway, who claimed that he is hiding nothing.
When the discussion turned to Trump’s violation of the Cuban embargo Conway actually admitted that Trump spent money there in 1998, which is a federal crime.
Here’s the video via YouTube.
As Newsweek reported today, Trump funneled $68,000 to a consulting firm to explore business opportunities in the communist nation back when Fidel Castro was still in charge because he wanted a foothold in the country if the embargo was ever to be lifted. In short, the “law and order candidate” willfully broke the law to gain a competitive edge.
And Trump’s tax returns would give us more insight into this if he would just release them. But he’s too much of a lying coward to do so.
