On Friday, Paul Manafort resigned from his position as Trump campaign chairman. Trump generously praised Manafort’s work.
“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success,” Trump said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Trump appointed Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon as his campaign head. Breitbart News has been a willing participant in the rise of Donald Trump so that doesn’t come as a shock that he named the right wing propagandist to lead his campaign.
Manafort is but one of Donald’s pals within his campaign who has ties to Russia.
Ukrainian prosecutors believe Manafort was involved in protests organized by the pro-Russian Party of Regions against U.S. Marines deployed to that country for a training exercise in 2006.
Again, he organized riots against U.S. Marines. It gets worse:
Manafort’s past work on behalf of strongman Viktor Yanukovych has come into sharper focus this week with the revelation that his name appears in receipt of more than $12.7 million in cash payments over five years according to a ledger reviewed by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Interestingly, the Trump campaign previously announced that Manafort would retain his role. Donald’s campaign denied that the shake up with Bannon suddenly being brought in and Manafort’s diminished role were a response to weeks of negative press coverage and sinking poll numbers.
Also worth noting, is that Donald just praised the man’s work in his campaign. That man has strong Russian ties. Surely Donald heard about that. It’s been all over the news for weeks and weeks. One would think Donald would have rectified this situation considering Manafort literally orchestrated an attack on U.S. Marines. Rocks were thrown at the Marines and buses were rocked back and forth.
