Last week while visiting Puerto Rico, former reality show star Donald Trump hurled paper towels at hurricane victims during another one of his tone-deaf moments. The optics were bad and the visit was widely criticized but not by Trump sycophant Mike Huckabee who told the so-called president, “You were a rockstar.”
At one point an the interview with Huckabee, Trump defended tossing paper towels at hurricane victims at a church in Puerto Rico last week.
“They had these beautiful, soft towels, very good towels,” Trump said. “And I came in and there was a crowd of a lot of people, and they were screaming and they were loving everything. I was having fun, they were having fun.”
“They said, ‘throw ‘em to me! Throw ‘em to me Mr. President!’ Trump said, before imitating shooting a basketball in the same manner he tossed the paper towels at the crowd.
“So the next day they said, ‘oh it was so disrespectful to the people.’ It was just a made-up thing. And also when I walked in, the cheering was incredible,” he continued.
“You were a rock star,” Huckabee replied.

Meanwhile, Puerto Rico’s farmers are suffering a near total loss. As of Thursday, Puerto Rico’s power company, the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), had restored power to only about 9 percent of the island’s electric customers, according to Reuters. It’s difficult to find out how much power and water the island’s residents have because FEMA deleted the part of its webpage which stated previously that 95 percent of Puerto Rico is without power.
CNN has confirmed: FEMA just abruptly deleted the webpage that told the American people that 95% of Puerto Ricans still don’t have power. https://t.co/YnhIzfud5o

Before departing for the U.S. territory, Trump hurled insults at the island, and also the mayor of San Juan because she asked for help. Trump took two golfing vacations while the island was being destroyed. To Mike Huckabee, that makes Trump a ‘rockstar.’
