Just a few days ago, Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg let America know just what she thought of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, and it was pretty epic.
The notorious RBG had said, in an interview with the AP, that “I don’t want to think about that possibility” of Trump becoming the next President of the United States and showered praise upon his rival, presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Ginsburg elaborated on her comments in a interview with the Times, where she said:
I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president.
For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don’t even want to contemplate that.
The much-respected Justice even joked about moving to New Zealand and warned that if Trump were to become America’s next commander-in-chief, “everything” would be up for grabs. Ever since then, Ginsburg has been on a roll, and continues to clarify her feelings and concerns about Trump. In an interview with CNN, Ginsburg once again humiliated Trump and exposed him for having absolutely no substance, value or logic in his policies and character. Ginsburg said:
He is a faker. He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego.
She also revealed that she thought Trump’s campaign was “funny” at first, but expressed frustration with the way the media fawned over him but would not hold him accountable for things he should be scrutinized for, like not releasing his taxes until he is finished being audited by the IRS. Ginsburg wondered:
How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns? The press seems to be very gentle with him on that.
If there’s one thing Trump can’t stand, it’s when a highly respected woman speaks her mind – especially when it’s against him. This has basically pushed Trump over the edge, and he lashed out by calling Ginsburg, America’s most beloved Justice, a “disgrace to the court.” The New York Times reported that Trump said:
I think it’s highly inappropriate that a United States Supreme Court judge gets involved in a political campaign, frankly. I think it’s a disgrace to the court and I think she should apologize to the court. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.
That she should be saying that? It’s so beneath the court for her to be making statements like that. It only energizes my base even more. And I would hope that she would get off the court as soon as possible.
If Trump thinks Ginsburg is going to apologize or take back her comments, he is dead wrong. Ginsburg pretty much represents everything that Trump is scared sh*tless of – an intelligent, powerful woman that America loves more than him. Ginsburg has not done anything she should apologize to the court for – Justices are allowed to share their political opinions and are not bound by a code of judicial conduct. But Trump is a child and just can’t accept that he is an imposter in this election cycle.
