Donald Trump has been busy in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron, but that doesn’t mean he’s not finding more ways to disrupt things back home.
In the early hours of the morning, Trump was back on Twitter to remind Americans that we literally have a child running the country. In a series of four brutal tweets, Trump apparently forgot which party he belonged to and absolutely humiliated the Republican Party.
Drawing attention to the fact that all attempts to replace Obamacare – the health care law that the GOP spent 7 years b*tching and moaning about – have been massive failures, Trump urged Republican Senators to get their act together and pass a worthy replacement. Trump even acknowledged that those plans have “failed”, adding an extra sting – especially since it’s coming from a president with a historically low approval rating.
Desperate for a legislative win, Trump unleashed this tweetstorm and told Republicans “I will be at my desk, pen in hand!” waiting to sign their bill. He even called out Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Vice President Mike Pence, ensuring that he could place blame on them if the bill failed.
Trump has been trying to be on his best behavior as he celebrates France’s national holiday Bastille Day with Macron – likely because his son just blew up his Russia scandal and he’s afraid to further incriminate himself. But even as he’s left America, it’s clear that Trump is still keeping an eye on health care and is hellbent on stripping millions of people of their health insurance. He’s so excited to screw all those Americans out of their health coverage, that he needs to publicly blast Republicans into making it happen faster. Now more than ever, Republican Senators probably regret electing Trump. He’s clearly not “their” president, and he’ll humiliate them in a second.
