Donald Trump just had to take a shot at reporters again today, after all, it’s the Christmas season. The former reality show star said that he has essentially repealed Obamacare, thus stripping healthcare from Americans, and he helped to pass the awful GOP tax plan which gifts the wealthy with tax breaks. That’s when he decided it was a good time for Ben Carson to offer a prayer, but not for him; for those godless reporters.
“You need the prayer more than I do, I think,” he said without one bit of irony. “You may be the only ones.”

During his prayer, Carson thanked the Lord for “a president and cabinet members who are courageous, who are willing to face the winds of controversy, in order to provide a better future for those who come behind us.”
Carson thanked his God for the “unity in Congress” (LOL) and said the passage of this bill will help to fight the “corrosive debt that’s destroying our future.”
He prayed to Jesus for unity between the parties just after the GOP tax heist was signed.
Because leaving the younger generation with crippling debt is something to be thankful for. The tax bill will add over $1.5 trillion to our country’s debt while we struggle to get affordable health care.
While gifting gazillionaires, Republicans failed to reauthorize coverage for millions of children in low-income families whose health insurance is at risk of running out.
“I promised the American people a big, beautiful tax cut for Christmas,” Trump said. “With final passage of this legislation, that is exactly what they are getting.”
And that’s a lie.
Amen.
