A tweet from St. Louis Post-Dispatch parenting writer Aisha Sultan on Friday was hilarious, sad, and kind of terrifying all at once:
My British-born husband takes his oath of citizenship today. In the packet for new Americans, the welcome letter from POTUS is from Obama. pic.twitter.com/O56cMj0hhx

Honestly, we kind of wish she hadn’t let the cat out of the bag. Now that we (and many others) have picked up the story, TrumpCo is sure to remedy the situation. That kind of sucks. In fact, we wouldn’t put it past the Asshole-in-Chief to try and claim that new citizens who received the Obama letter since January 20th aren’t really citizens until they get one from him (especially if they’re the wrong color).
But let’s set all that aside and look at the glorious responses to this epic Trump glitch. It all happened because Orange Kool-Aid was in such a hurry to get rid of everyone associated with Obama that he neglected to hire anyone smart enough to switch the system over to him:
I get mine in a few weeks. Really hoping this doesn’t change between now and then.

I don’t know, but there’s a huge shower with Patrick Duffy inside being built on the National Mall…

This is what happens when you don’t fill all those presidential appointments. Oh and worse.

I agree with U those positions are vacant! Its amazing how this’s still a glitch after he’s on the rampage 2 strip #44 name off everything

It would probably start with “Hey loser!” and pretty much go downhill from there…

Because he doesn’t welcome them, unless he is going to marry them.

with @POTUS‘s letter which simply read: “Welcome. You better hope we don’t find out you’re a terrorist.” 2/2

But what we’re all really thinking is:
Congratulations to your husband! I also want to live in thewhere Obama is still POTUS.

It’s wishful thinking, but hey — we can wish, right?
