What could be sadder than watching Chris Christie stand uncomfortably behind Donald Trump as the 2016 GOP nominee pokes fun at his weight? What could possibly be more humiliating than watching Christie reduce himself to being Trump’s hamburger delivery boy as he attempts to “yes sir” his way into the Vice Presidential nominee slot? How about losing that slot to a guy who thinks Disney’s movie, Mulan, proves that women should not be in the military and who once signed a law that requires aborted fetuses to be buried or cremated?
Ever since he became Trump’s personal manservant, we have seen nothing but sadness in the eyes of the New Jersey governor, but nothing quite sums up the depth of his complete and utter humiliation than this photo, taken at the New Jersey delegation welcome party at the GOP convention:

This is what a man looks like when he is completely empty, when his soul has been destroyed by someone or something. At this point, Trump has abused Christie so much that he is but a shell of himself.
Now that Trump has completely used up and cast aside Christie, he is doing the same to Pence. In a recent speech in which he was supposed to be announcing his running mate, The Donald seemed to have completely forgotten about him for a while as he rambled on, eventually remembering that he was supposed to introduce the man he tried to get out of keeping around as his VP pick just hours after it was initially announced.
No one should feel sympathy for either of these two men. They knew what they were getting into when they sold their souls. But this is a perfect example of what to expect when you allow Trump even the smallest bit of power over you. You give him the ability to use you for personal gain then cast you aside.
Look at Chris Christie’s face. Remember that look in November, because that is exactly what Donald will do to our country if we let him. Utter destruction.
