If you have Republican friends on Facebook, you are no doubt used to them posting status updates like this one:
Those Facebook friends were likely disappointed this year as two of the biggest names in country music, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, opened the show with a hilarious parody slamming Trump’s use of Twitter.
In a song set to Carrie Underwood’s hit, “Before He Cheats,” the two incorporated some of Trump’s more cringe-worthy tweets, including calling Senator Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas,” referring to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as “Rocket Man,” and blasting him for tweeting out unintelligible typos like “covfefe.” They ended it with:
And it’s fun to watch yeah that’s for sure, until Rocket Man starts a nuclear war. Maybe next time he’ll think before he tweets.”
Before they started their opening number, Paisley told Carrie about some of his other ideas for songs, such as, “Hold Me Closer Bernie Sanders.” The whole opening monologue was highly entertaining – especially since we KNOW it had to have made Trump and a lot of his biggest fans really mad!
For the TENTH year in a row, Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood deliver an unforgettable #CMAawards opening monologue! Watch now on ABC Television Network.

I wonder how long it will be before Trumpkins start calling for a Carrie Underwood/Brad Paisley boycott?
