Donald Trump is a very crazy person to have as president. We have just reached his 100-days in office mark, even though to the nation it feels more like 100 years. It honestly feels like the turmoil of the 2016 campaign season – which was only just shy of 6 months ago – is light years beyond us. But, apparently, it doesn’t feel that way to Donald Trump.
Trump sat down with three reporters from Reuters on Friday, for an exclusive 100-days interview. The reporters asked about the usual things that one would ask a president during such an interview, such as the escalating conflicts in North Korea, what he plans to do about healthcare, and other things that a typical president would be asked about, but interrupted all of that to talk about his electoral college win. Reuters White House correspondent said on CNN of that bizarre occurrence:
[Trump] sort of interrupted himself and handed out this map of the Electoral College and said that these were the latest figures of the areas in the country that he had won in 2016.”
“So it was just clear that the election, even five months after — he’s been in office nearly 100 days and gone through the transition — remains very much on his mind.”
So, with all of the dangerous things going on in the world, his electoral map is what is on this buffoon’s mind? We are seriously f*cked. This man is a malignant narcissist. He didn’t want to be president. He wanted to prove to the world that he could beat Hillary Clinton. Perhaps it is the media’s prediction that he didn’t have a chance in hell, combined with the fact that he lost the popular vote by more than 3 million people that has Trump so obsessed with his own legitimacy. Jeff Mason alluded to those possibilities as well:
I think he just wanted to relish in the fact that this map looks good for him. He said, ‘The red is obviously us.’”
“So whether that’s rooted in a sense that he still has to prove that he won or that he’s upset that the media got it wrong in terms of the predictions ahead of time, that’s hard for me to say.”
Trump even printed out copies of his electoral map to give to each of the reporters, which Mason showed to the cameras during his CNN interview.
This is beyond bizarre behavior for a president. He is dangerously mentally ill, with the emotional maturity of a child. Donald Trump will continue to mentally deteriorate during his time in office, and unless Congress does something about him, we will all go down with him.
