Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway just got busted by Jake Tapper for complaining about Trump’s whining about “rigged” elections during the primary.
Before she ever started working for Donald Trump, Conway was employed by Ted Cruz. And back in April, Conway had a problem with Trump talking about rigged elections long before she she began defending him for making the same claims.
“Back in April when you were working against Donald Trump, when you were working for Ted Cruz and advising his super PAC, you had some tough words for Mr. Trump when he was lashing out at the time against the system being rigged,” Tapper told her.
The CNN host then played a video of Conway calling out her current boss for whining about how unfair the primary system has been toward him.
“We hear from the Trump campaign, the rules change, it’s not fair, the system’s rigged,” Conway told Don Lemon. “He can whine and complain all he wants that he didn’t know the rules…”
So there you have it. Donald Trump was even complaining about how the system is supposedly “rigged” against him way back during the primary and Conway would have none of it, basically offering Trump the world’s tiniest violin to play just for him.
“Is this a pattern with Mr. Trump?” Tapper asked Conway. “If he starts losing, he starts lashing out and calling the system corrupt and calling it rigged?”
Conway claimed that her and Trump watch that clip together all the time because they love it so much, which is probably one of the most bullshit things Conway has ever claimed in defense of the Republican nominee. She just got called out for being a hypocrite and she doesn’t even have the character to own what she thought about Trump in the past. Clearly, Trump must be paying Conway a ton of money.
Of course, Conway denied that whining about “rigged” elections is a pattern for Trump and then proceeded to whine about the media ignoring the size of Trump’s rally crowds and then had the gall to claim that Trump is fighting for the “little guy” and that the election doesn’t feel over because of what they see on the campaign trail.
Here’s the video via YouTube.
Yeah, tell that to scientific polls, Kellyanne. Because they tell a completely different story.
