After it was revealed that the Trump Administration was ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, known as DACA, an Obama-era policy, a member of the former reality show star’s diversity council said that if the so-called president gets rid of DACA, he was lying when he claimed to “love” the more than 800,000 recipients of the program who will end up being subject to deportation. That was on Monday, and today, he has resigned – “effective immediately” – over Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s announcement that the administration is upending the program.
Javier Palomarez, the president and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, resigned Tuesday on-the-air, from Donald Trump’s National Diversity Council, following Sessions’ announcement that Trump had ended the DACA program.
“I officially resign from that council, effective immediately,” Palomarez told HLN’s Carol Costello. “There is no letter. This is it. This is the resignation.”

On Monday, Palomarez told Jim Acosta that resigning was a possibility.
“If he gets rid of DACA, he’s showing that he’s a liar,” Palomarez told CNN’s Jim Acosta. “He has said to this country that he is going to try to protect the people in the DACA program, that he was focused on getting rid of criminals.”
Palomarez told Acosta of the vetting that takes place for DACA recipients and said he wanted to “remind” Donald Trump and his team of the economic standpoint and said that they’ve paid over $2 billion in taxes and further explained how this would hurt the economy.
Apparently, Trump was not listening. Instead, he went through with his announcement, except that he had a racist elf deliver it because he was too cowardly to do it himself.
