Donald Trump is getting absolutely blasted for his recent comments about immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations after referring to those immigrants as being from “sh*thole countries.”
Trump had made this horrific statement during the DACA meeting yesterday, and he’s been getting torn apart since. Putting his usual cowardice and dishonesty on full display, Trump has responded to the backlash by denying it on Twitter.
Early this morning, Trump said in a series of erratic tweets:
The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made – a big setback for DACA!
Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said “take them out.” Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings – unfortunately, no trust!”
And he has continued the day in a similar way. Continuing to run from the truth and give America answers for his outrageous, racist behavior, Trump actually ran away from reporters earlier today after signing a proclamation meant to honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy.
As many reporters, such as CNN’s April Ryan, shouted at the president and asked him to respond to the questions about his racist “sh*thole” comments, Trump fled the room and refused to give them – and the American people – an answer.
In the video below, which shows Trump scurrying away from his presidential duties and responsibilities to the country, Ryan is heard shouting,
Mr. President, will you give an apology for the statement yesterday? Mr. President, are you a racist? Mr. President, will you respond to these serious questions about this statement, sir? Mr. President, are you a racist?”
The entire country wants answers, but this is how Trump is dealing with it:
We would love to know what Trump’s supporters think of their “tough,” “strong” president now.
