Because Donald Trump hasn’t freaked us all out enough, he amped up his war-rhetoric while standing with military leaders. While flanked by top military advisers and their spouses during a pre-dinner photo-op Thursday night in the State Dining Room of the White House, Trump sounded off a cryptic message which, of course, he did not clarify.
“You know what this represents? Maybe it’s the calm before the storm,” Trump told reporters, according to NBC News. “You’ll find out.”
“What’s the storm?” a reporter asked the so-called president.
“Could be the calm before the storm,” Trump repeated.
“We have the world’s great military people in this room, I will tell you that,” he said. “And uh, we’re gonna have a great evening, thank you all for coming.”
“What storm, Mr. President?” NBC News’ Kristen Welker asked again.
“You’ll find out,” Trump said before reporters were ushered out of the room.
It’s not clear which situation the former reality show star was referring to because he listed quite a few in his speech.
“Recently, we have had challenges that we really should have taken care of a long time ago, like North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, ISIS, and the revisionist powers that threaten our interests all around the world,” Trump said, according to a White House transcript. “Tremendous progress has been made with respect to ISIS, and I guess the media is going to be finding out about that over the next short period of time.”

During the campaign cycle, Trump warned of an upcoming World War III if Hillary Clinton was elected because, he said, “she’s incompetent.”
Trump promised that a plan to defeat ISIS would be delivered to his desk within 30 days if elected.
“We are going to convene my top generals and give them a simple instruction,” Trump said at the time. “They will have 30 days to submit to the Oval Office a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS.”
Fast forward to 2017: Trump supporters elected an incompetent man into the White House and now, we may end up in a World War III scenario as he blasts off tweets about destroying North Korea while the two leaders continue their dick measuring contest.
